Life Without!

So last night the metroplex encountered a terrible thunderstorm. I got a phone call around 12:30am from my roommate John to let me know that my house's power was out. I was still at work so I wasn't even worried about it. I still had plenty of work to do so I figured by the time I got home the power would be fixed. Well it wasn't. John had set out candles so I was able to light my room up with some light. It was so quiet... Not a sound except for the occasional thunder and the raindrops. Shaheen says that it would do me some good to get away from technology for about a week to relax. I keep telling him that it would be impossible for me to do that. Well, after having several hours worth of no power I am now thankful of the technology that we have these days. I would not survive an entire week without it.

The power came on around 9am so it was a quiet technology free night... Perhaps this power outage will help to lower the electric bill!!! :)
