What Makes A Leader Great?

All leaders have common characteristics that contribute to their success:

  • They convey a feeling of certainty about themselves and their vision.
  • They are masters of influence and communication.
  • They are highly capable, dedicated and hard-working.
  • They make decisions and direct the effort.
  • They care deeply about the people they lead.
  • Their passion and convictions are inspiring to others.
  • They make sure the people they lead feel connected and rewarded.
  • They hold themselves and others accountable in a fair and consistent manner.

The finest leaders are truly in command of their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Moreover, they have the ability to focus themselves and others to believe in a vision, talk about what must be done to achieve it, and feel personal motivation and responsibility to take the steps necessary to make that vision a reality.

I have always wanted to be somebody who is great!
