Realization... You are Not Alone!

There comes a time in our lives when we must realize that we don't have the power to control many of the things that surface in our personal life. I have unfortunately seen that a lack of power has led to very unforeseen, unfortunate, unnecessary events that have lead to pain, lots of pain. Pain and heartbreak is a tough thing to deal with especially when it is not understood. Out of my control events seem to plague the very hope I have and when a glimpse of understanding is grasped something else occurs that clouds the hope. But I do not waver from the idea that I am on earth for a reason. I am here to overcome the difficulties and to change lives.

In all of us we possess the power to overcome and that power is not easily hidden. We as humans live day to day while hiding our pain with a hope we will overcome. There is often times it is very well hidden and often times the pain is so overwhelming that a person can see it in our eyes. Never should one lose hope. Never should one feel alone, but it happens all the time. Even as Christians we deal with these types of sufferings. There is not a definitely answer for this problem. For becoming a Christian does not solve the problem of having pain. Being a Christian gives us a hope that there is a reward for surviving the pain we experience. I don't sit here truly hopeless rather I sit here knowing what pain and heartache is. I sit here writing to say.... You are not alone if you are in pain. We are all in some sort of pain and life is not easy! You are not alone!

What is next?

As of December 28th, 2007 I became a free man once again to focus solely on Delicatefade.com. For that date was my last date working PT with UPS. It has been an eventful past few weeks where I have truely been able to buckle down and plan the strategies for the company in order to be the Best Christian music resource site on the web. I have noticed there is just one major difference between now and when I started this site back in 1998. The amount of content... In 1998 there were only a few worship bands with a few CDs and a few hit worship songs... Now everywhere I turn there is a new band... a new CD... a new worship artist. It is endless. However, most of it all sounds the same now and that is unfortunate. Much like the early 90's worship with Ron Kenoly, Hosanna Music, and folks like Alvin Slaughter all sounded the same after a while. It certainly got old. When the alternative worship movement took off because of folks like Hillsongs and Matt Redman it really took off and replaced that style of Gospel worship.

So what will be the next worship movement? There was an attempt with techno/trance worship with Andy Hunter but I am not sure if that is it. Could it be rap worship? Could it be bluegrass worship? What will be next? Whatever it is there will certainly be a band wagon that jumps on and takes it overboard!

Some things just don't stop being funny!

One night about a month ago I was looking at my google account. Google has implemented a tracking code that allows people who build websites the capability to track what is going on with the site and how it is being visited and some more blah blah blah tracking statistics. I was looking at my Delicatefade.com statistics and saw that google has other features called gadgets. Gadgets are all different types of web programs that you can put on websites. Some are games, some are weather displaying features, some are just clocks. For the sake of this blog I will be talking about the Garfield gadget. The Garfield gadget provides me the Garfield of the day as well as all Garfield cartoons that were ever written. I enjoy Garfield as I love cats and often the things Garfield does reminds me so much of what my cats do but yet they can't talk... Garfield can express his opinions! So I have implemented the Garfield gadget on a personal webpage for my enjoyment. Every night I get the opportunity to await what the next Garfield of the day will be. Some of them aren't that funny... others hit me so funny and I laugh for minutes. You probably wonder why I am talking about this... well the point is that in times like I have been in it is good to have something to take the mind away from reality and to have a good laugh.

Here is Today's Garfield of the Day!

The New Year, Two Thousand and Eight

2008

As I ponder on what the new year can hold I just know one thing, "it has to be better than 2007." 2007 was pretty rough for me and I tried to do everything I could to make sure that the rough patch in my life was over before 2008 started. I look forward to the upward bounce I am on starting in 2008. While many things didn't turn out great last year it is still nice to see that life does provide second chances in some areas. This past year I learned that humans will never be perfect... yes that includes me. Actually I am just talking about me. I will never be perfect and I will need second chances in life.

I am grateful that I get an opportunity to be on a new adventure called 2008!
